Pool Cleaner Motor Not Working

I have an aquabot pool cleaner and pump motor stopped working.

If your pump is not starting you ll want to check a couple of things. The capacitor is what starts the pump by giving it a jolt of electricity. I have replaced the capacitors once before in my own machine without loosing the oil and reusing it. Make sure the cord is not tangled around any part of the cleaner.

Check that it is not a mechanical problem with the motor pump or wheels. At this point if the cleaner is not still under warranty it is usually cheaper to buy a new cleaner than sending the cleaner out for a motor replacement. If the pool cleaner does not respond your motor is bad. Setting up the vacuum is a simple matter of attaching suction hoses into the pool s pump system and turning the pool pump on.

Then place the meter probes into the plug on the motor end of the cable. The pool pump motor is not working or turning off while running. You often have to babysit it to make sure it finishes cleaning. The 35v motor has 4 capacitors to jump start it.

Some vacuums do their work automatically while others must be run along the pool surfaces by hand with an extension pole but in either type internal filters or nets in the vacuum head trap the debris from the pool water. The cleaner appears to be working fine for a while but then stalls without warning. First check to see if the pump is getting power and check your timer to make sure the pump is on. Disaster strikes and time comes to a standstill if your pool cleaner stops working.

I really only need to know what type of oil to use to replace it. If you disassemble it the oil inside runs out. This is a common issue for many pool.
